Video Visitation and Phone Calls

All phone calls, video visitations, electronic messages, and photo messages will be recorded and may be monitored and/or divulged except for identified attorney phone calls.

Inmates are prohibited from participating in telephone calls, messages, or video visits with any of the individuals listed below. Any requests for exceptions to these restrictions must be made in writing to the BCJS Administrative Office. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis:

co-defendant(s)

victim(s) of the inmate’s crimes

person(s) who have active Protection From Abuse orders lodged against the inmate

person(s) who have officially requested to receive no communication from an inmate

current or former employees of the Jail System

Tablets are a privilege and their use may be restricted at any time.

Any behavior deemed to be inappropriate during video calls, including but not limited to nudity, use of gang signs/gang related activity, and vulgarity, will result in loss of tablet privileges for the inmate and a loss of visitation privileges for the visitor.

All rules under standard visitation apply to video visitation.

When using the video call feature, you are prohibited from taking any screenshots or recording the video call.  Any misuse of video calling will result in suspension/loss of privileges for the visitor and may include suspension/loss of privileges and disciplinary action for the inmate.
