The Berks County Recorder of Deeds Office offers a tool to Berks County property owners to detect fraud.   This tool is named Property Alert.

Property owners can create alerts through our Online Services and receive email alerts if a document is recorded at our office matching the information contained in their alert.  When creating their alerts, we encourage users to include their property Parcel Identification Number as it is a unique identifier to their property and to also include their names.

Property Alert is not a preventative service, however it will send you an email  after a document has been recorded containing the same information as listed in your alerts.

Together, constituents and the Berks County Recorder of Deeds office are taking steps to fight fraud.
