The Berks County Parks and Recreation Department provides designated structures for reservations. 

Here’s what you need to know:

Designated areas are available for Standard Reservations and Special Events from April 15 through the last weekend in October. Requests for special events and online reservations begin on January 1 of the current year. Reservations may include picnics, reunions, birthday parties, showers, graduation parties, special gatherings and weddings.

All Standard Reservations for the following facilities need to be submitted through our online reservation system, RecDesk

Standard Reservations are available and completed on RecDesk for the following locations: 

                                Grings Mill Barn (2^nd Floor) 

                                Grings Mill Pavilion 

                                Red Bridge Recreation Area Pavilion

                                Berks Leisure Area Pavilion

Please Note:

·        Payments must be received either online or in the Park Office by the invoice due date, generally two weeks prior to your reservation date.

·        Dates are final and will not be held beyond the date listed on your invoice. Failure to pay invoices by their due date will result in the cancellation of your reservation/event. 

Special Events, Walks/Races, and Weddings:

Are you planning a larger event? Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at the Grings Mill Office by phone at 610-372-8939 or email  if you have questions and to get started with reserving your special event. Things to keep in mind:

·        24 Participants or less: No reservation required. The park is a public space and all areas and picnic tables that are not reserved are available at a first-come, first-serve basis.

·        Reservations take priority in reserving space at any of the park locations listed below. 

·        Weddings are NOT permitted on any bridges in the Park System including Wertz's Red Covered Bridge, the Bridge/Dam at Grings Mill, or the Iron Pedestrian Bridge at the Berks Leisure Area. 

·         Special Events, Walks/Races, and outdoor Weddings/ceremonies CANNOT be reserved online.
