DETAILS OF INCIDENT:

In May of 2026, the Berks County District Attorney’s Detectives received multiple Childline Referrals from the Department of Human Services, Commonwealth of PA, which reported that a 7-year-old child was the victim of sexual abuse.

Later that month, a Forensic Interview was conducted with the 7-year-old victim at the Berks County Children’s Alliance Center, Reading, PA. At that time, the victim disclosed that the defendant had sexually abused him and had shown him sexually explicit pictures and videos.

The investigation determined that this sexual abuse occurred in April 2026 at a residence in the 1100 block of Commonwealth Boulevard in Kenhorst Borough, Berks County.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2026, an arrest warrant was subsequently issued for the defendant by Magisterial District Judge David L. Yoch. He was taken into custody by members of the Berks County Detectives at his residence in Reading and transported to the Berks County Sheriffs Central Processing Center located at the Berks County Courthouse where he was fingerprinted and photographed.

The defendant was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David L. Yoch.  He was committed to the Berks County Jail after bail was denied by MDJ Yoch.

As in every criminal case, the fact that an arrest occurred or a complaint has been filed is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
