On Thursday, March 7, 2013, Berks County District Attorney John T. Adams announced the launching of the Berks County Pharmaceutical Drop Box Initiative Program.

District Attorney John T. Adams has initiated a new program where if a defendant is charged with any of the following summary offenses, he/she shall be eligible for Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) to be supervised by the Magisterial District Judge

The Berks County Treatment Court Programs is to integrate substance abuse/mental health treatment with the justice system for the promotion of public safety, individual responsibility, and reduction of drug/alcohol -related recidivism.
